I am sure at least some of you have heard of or even read these books. If not, you might recognize the cover of one of these books.

Now do you? They are known for the big head drawing on the cover. But don't be fooled by the childish cover. These books cover all topics and there are over 250 titles. The Who Was books are about many famous people and their lives. There are books about musicians, artists, adventurers, athletes, authors and more! Wow!
Even my parents enjoy reading them because you learn lots of new things. The books are also good for people whose first language isn't English because the simple wording is helpful and you can learn about people and what the world was like for them in more detail. I am currently reading Who Was Walt Disney? and it is fascinating. I also read a Who Was book a few days ago about Sacagawea. She had a very exciting and dangerous life by going on the Lewis and Clark expedition.
I personally like the Who Was series because you learn so much from it, because they are historically accurate. You learn little facts about someone or someplace that are so interesting. I really recommend them and hope you pick one up next time you go to your favorite bookstore!
Enjoy!
